Brush marker and watercolours on paper.
These paintings are part of a series I did just before and after moving to Berlin. It was born out of stress, a feeling of impending doom, and feeling overwhelmed because of dealing with one of the slowest bureaucracies in Europe. They were made as an outlet for the inevitable rage and anxiety born out of all of this. Because of this, I did not start them off by sketching, but drew the lines immediately, and then picked the colours as I went along. I wanted the process to be spontaneous and uncontrolled and not focussed on result, because these were the things I was trying to escape from while making them.
All of these paintings are on A3 sized, thick paper. They are all still available for sale.
